The Pynes

I dream
Of pines
Shadowy outlines
Crooked limbs
A scent I would know anywhere
Caressed in moonlight
Voices of winds
Pyne
I am lost in these woods
Words echo from some distant place
In the back of my mind
Weaving its way carefully
As hot air tendrils through the cold
Black Pines
Always I wander clinging to the whispers
I hear you
Somewhere always just out of reach
In the darkness
Here I am home
In the pines searching for you
Always
Dreaming in the pynes.

My Earth

I could have
No
I should have loved you

Selfishly

Rather than the free kind I gave
So willingly
Achingly day to day

I foresee it etched upon that stone

Remembered merely half heartedly
World friend

Gypsy tramp
Footprints

I have left

Some long past faded
Over these lands I have loved

Poetic songs
And a lovers whispers blown

Like pirate sails
Misfits upon a mystic sea

None
Shall ever have that
Lover’s remembrance of me

Merely a Dreamers cause
Painted out among the hues of a sunset

A perfect irony to lay a golden
Shovel at my feet
So blistered and tired

I could have
No
I Should Have

Kept the beauty I see
In abandoned heartache
Under lock and key
A sterling chain upon my breast

And yet
Who am I to hide
Your sparkling stars

The mountainous rolling
Of graciousness written in spiraling gray

Winter brings cold
For those who cannot see

Your heart warmth
A quiet hum everlasting

Living
Breathing
Loving

My Earth

I could have
No
I should have

Kept my love just to me
And yet,
I hope by freely giving

You will be loved
And kept safe for me.

Requiem

From the corner of my eye I saw a beam of light

I saw a smile unlike any spark of moonlight risen

Over a requiem of smoggy dew

Open arms and laughter light

I followed over trails not walked in

Swollen years of angels whispers

Forgotten roads untouched I followed

Them

I followed them along a bumpy road

Un-traveled

A highland road through the rolling green lands

Of lilac colored

Fields to you.

To you

The laughter and the pomp drew me like

A firefly to the propane light

Hanging defeated on an ancient nail

Precariously swinging from

The rafters on the porch

I smell the earth around me ,

A nightingale in your palm

I flutter

I sing a hushed song of hope

I sing a song of love

I dance a fluttering requiem of uncertainties and determinations

I offer freely

This fragile soul of mine

For you to dance the merry

Circle with

In this glorious

Moonlight.

The Magic That She Weaves

The Magic That She Weaves

a fallen drop of morning light
did tangle in her web
a spectrum of colors did I gaze
silvers,blues and reds
as graceful as a snowflake
gentle shivering
arose her from her bed
a cobblestone ancient pathway
did lead me to her door
low branches of the friendly Oak
embraced long strands of her hair
grasping cradling-entwining
the Horned Moon could not help but stare
a stolen breath lay puddled at the sight
of those Milky toes of hers
alighting-entrancing- the garden floor
a dance of ever lasting youth
a lovers arms-
she sang
a handful wish she delicately kissed-
To Aphrodite and Pan
and as it hitched to Mars she wished-
for the brotherhood of Man-

Full Moon

Full Moon

And as her shadowed face
glistened in the midnights dew

Her hand tilted ever so subtly
and caught a sparkling drop
of moon beam

The wind lifted her long hair
and seemed to caress it in whisps of silken air

As her long cloak slowly drifted to the soft earth
silently and yet in whispers she moved
with the grace of a doe in a sunrise mist

The fires burning bright in the circle of the meadow
seemed to light all but the space around her
Leaving her in shadow and starlight
from the heavens clear above.

She seems to glide carefully across the grassy earth
to the center of the clearing with not
But a single lock of Lavender tied carefully with
a white peice of ribbon

Placing the flower at the base of the altar
a tear fell from her eye as she sang a solemn song of rememberence

She stood and thrice about she turned
as her arms lifted and she in her skyclad glory

formed into a great white owl,
and lifted into
the Full moons light.
